The Attack Titan is the only one of the Nine with the ability to access the memories of its future inheritors — which means it has always moved, across generations, toward the person whose fight would eventually matter most. It has no unique defensive capability. No hardening, no scale advantage, no ranged attack. What it has is an all-around combat form optimized for a single purpose: fighting until the fight is done, in service of whatever freedom meant to the person carrying it.

Philosophy: Freedom at any cost. The Attack Titan has never been inherited by someone who accepted the world as it was. It finds people who can’t.

The Armored Titan is covered with hardened armor-like skin that protects its vital areas and can be reinforced further through sheer willpower. It can send its life force to different parts of its body to preserve functionality even during brutal attacks.

The armor makes it significantly slower than other Titan forms — the protection comes with a mobility cost that the bearer has to account for in every engagement.

Known inheritors: Reiner Braun (Warrior sent to Paradis who spent years fighting from both sides of the conflict simultaneously, whose protectiveness and guilt shaped how he used the armor)

Philosophy: Endurance. The Armored Titan is built around the idea of not breaking — of absorbing what comes and remaining. Whether that’s protection or stubbornness depends entirely on the person carrying it.

The Colossal Titan stands sixty meters tall — ten times the height of most Titan forms. Its transformation releases an explosive burst of energy that functions as a bomb in the immediate area. It can emit scalding steam from its body as a weapon, though sustained steam production burns through its muscle mass and forces an exit from Titan form.

It’s the most destructive of the Nine in terms of scale — its actions are geological rather than personal, consequences rather than fights.

Known inheritors: Bertholdt Hoover (Warrior who spent years as Armin’s friend while carrying the power that destroyed Wall Maria), Armin Arlert (who uses it sparingly because the transformation alone is catastrophically destructive)

Philosophy: Consequence. The Colossal Titan is for actions whose effects outlast the moment they’re taken. The people who’ve carried it have used it reluctantly, sparingly — because you can’t use it halfway.

Its most notable combat application is throwing — with the precision and force of a siege weapon, capable of wiping out entire formations from a distance. It can control Pure Titans through vocalization. Its appearance varies dramatically by inheritor, taking on distinct animal characteristics.

In Zeke Yeager’s case, it took an ape-like form seventeen meters tall, and his royal blood gave it the additional ability to transform Subjects of Ymir into Pure Titans.

Known inheritors: Zeke Yeager (who used it as a general uses artillery — from distance, with calculation, treating the battlefield as a problem to be solved rather than a fight to be won)

Philosophy: Control through distance. The Beast Titan is for people who understand that the most effective position is outside the immediate conflict — shaping what happens rather than participating in it.

MBTI match: ENTJ — The ENTJ who figured out that controlling the conditions of a fight is more efficient than winning it, and built an entire strategy around that insight.

If your Titan is the Beast Titan: You think about the conditions before you think about the conflict — how to shape the situation so that by the time it becomes a fight, the outcome is already determined.
